Each Project Starts with an Idea
At some point in time the term “window treatment” replaced the more mundane “draperies” and “curtains” to describe the functional or decorative covering hung over window glass. A window deserves a special treatment! Designing and creating new window treatments can represent a substantial investment of time and money and is an undertaking that deserves careful planning from the beginning. It involves both practical considerations and aesthetic decisions. Functionally, it may involve privacy, security, light control, energy conservation, noise control, or emphasizing or de-emphasizing a window. You may also transform your window into a functional piece of art. Style, fabrics, colors, patterns, textures, trim, hardware, and cost all must be considered. Choosing a window treatment can be easy once you've entered our showroom. Once there, you can find a variety of fabrics, designs, styles, colors… plus designer's talent based on many years of experience. There is something special that can be created for every window!
Draperies make a room more formal with curtains reaching from the top of the window down to the floor. Fabric can be a heavy and elegant, such as tweed or velour, or something light like cotton. Draperies are often lined to make them less see-through for privacy or reduced light. They can be very fancy, with elaborate decorations, called finials, added on top of the drapery rods.
If you prefer an open, airy look choose simple window treatments like mini blinds, roller shades, or honeycomb shades. Cozy interiors are characterized by warm colors and the natural finishes of wood blinds, wood shutters, woven shades or fabric verticals. A more sophisticated window treatment can feature formal drapery in silks or damasks. Great options for these formal windows include Roman shades, sheer elegance shades or linen pleated shades.
Modern sheer curtains are a good choice because they allow light in and offer privacy as well. Sheers can drop to a windowsill, to the floor, or be gathered together on rods inside the top and bottom of a window frame. Lined curtains in heavier fabrics are not as popular as they once were because of today's trend toward a lighter, brighter look. If you do choose to use a lined fabric on your windows, be sure to hang it on wooden or metal poles with coordinated rings and finials for a more polished look.

I hate typical blinds systems, but I LOVE the exclusive blinds Larisa was able to offer me. They really add to the ultra-modern feel of the room. Larisa and her team measured everything perfectly, showed up when they say they would, did a perfect installation job, and are very pleasant. I walked in their door expecting the best service and product, and Larisa delivered!
Thank you Larisa! You're the best!
I always have excellent experiences with Larisa. As a returning customer, I was given a nice discount. Larisa is top notch and is very knowledgeable. She helped me figure out the most appropriate draperies to suit my needs. She is also highly aesthetic and helped me choose the perfect classical draperies; then figured out where and how to place them for the most stylish fit in the room. Larisa took the measurements herself and everything fit perfectly. Plus, she's beautiful and personable.
